Privacy policy
Last updated 19 September 2026
Bakervy is a one person Cottage Licensed Bakery located in Duvall, Washington. This policy states what we do with your information.
What this site collects right now
Nothing. The page you are reading is three static pages with no forms, no analytics, no advertising tags, no session cookies, and no fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short lived request logs the way every web host does, and we do not read them to identify anyone.
The page comes in a light version and a dark one, and follows whichever your device is already set to. Your browser tells the page that, we never ask for it, and nothing about it is saved.
What we will collect when ordering opens
The shop is not live yet. When it is, here is what we will ask for and why. We will update this page before a single order goes through, not after.
- Your name, so we can label the bag and hand it to the right person.
- Your email address, so we can confirm the order and tell you if a bake changes.
- Your phone number, if you give us one, so we can reach you on pickup day when email is too slow.
- What you ordered and when you are collecting it. This is the order itself.
- Your address, when we are bringing the order to you instead of handing it over at the door. We use it to find you on the day and for nothing else.
- Your payment details, for anything paid for online. The card number goes straight to our payment processor and never reaches us. The next section says exactly what we do and do not see.
- Anything you write in the notes box, such as an allergy or a birthday message.
Payment
We will never see or store your card number. Payment runs through a payment processor, and the card details go straight to them. We receive a confirmation that you paid, the amount, and the last four digits, which is what we need to match a payment to a bag. The processor handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Who else touches your information
We keep the list short, and everyone on it works for us rather than for themselves:
- Our web host, which serves these pages and, later, the shop.
- Our payment processor, which takes the payment.
- Our email provider, which sends order confirmations and pickup reminders.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for advertising. We will give it up if a court or the law requires it, and not otherwise.
Marketing email
We will only email you about the bake if you ask us to. Order confirmations and pickup reminders are part of the order and come either way. Every list email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough.
How long we keep things
Order records stay for as long as tax and business records need to be kept in Washington. If you asked for the newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Anything we no longer need, we delete.
What you can ask us to do
Write to hello@bakervy.com and ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will answer within thirty days. If a record has to stay for tax reasons we will tell you which one and why.
Children
This is a bakery, not a service for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If you think your child has given us something, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change affects what we do with information we already hold, we will email anyone it applies to rather than quietly editing the page.
