Terms and conditions
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms cover bakervy.com and anything you order from it. Using the site means you accept them. We have kept them in plain words, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Who you are buying from
Bakervy is a Cottage Licensed Bakery in Duvall, Washington, permitted by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. One person bakes everything, in a home kitchen, in small batches.
Made in a home kitchen that has not been subject to standard inspection criteria.
A cottage food kitchen is inspected when the permit is granted, and it is not subject to the routine inspection schedule that a commercial kitchen is. That is the law in Washington, and you are entitled to know it before you buy.
Pickup only, and only in Washington
Washington's cottage food law allows the sale only when the food passes from the baker to the person eating it, face to face. So:
- You can order and pay online.
- You collect in person at the address in your confirmation, or we deliver it to you ourselves inside Washington.
- We cannot ship. Not by post, not by courier, not to another state. Please do not ask us to make an exception, because we are not allowed to make one.
- We sell to you, the person eating it, and not for resale in a shop or a restaurant.
How ordering works
We bake one menu a week and take orders ahead of it. Putting an order in reserves what you picked from that week's bake. An order is confirmed when you get the confirmation email, and not before. If something sells out or a bake goes wrong, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and include any sales tax that applies. You pay when you order, through our payment processor. We do not hold your card details. Prices change from week to week with what things cost us, and the price you paid at checkout is the price of your order.
Collecting your order
Your confirmation gives the day, the window, and the address. Bread has a short life and a home kitchen has no storage to speak of, so please come inside your window. If you cannot, tell us and we will sort something out. An order nobody collects on the day is gone, and we cannot refund it.
Changes, cancellations, and refunds
- More than 48 hours before pickup day: change or cancel for a full refund, no questions.
- Inside 48 hours: we have bought the flour and started the dough, so we cannot usually refund. Write to us anyway, because we would rather find you a solution than keep your money.
- If we cancel: you get the full amount back, every time, whatever the reason.
- If something is wrong with what you got: tell us within 24 hours of pickup, and we will replace it or refund it. Food is perishable, so we cannot take it back after that.
Allergens
The kitchen works with wheat, rye, eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds, and sesame. Everything is made on the same benches and in the same oven, so we cannot promise that anything is free of any of them, however carefully we clean. Every product lists its ingredients. If you have a serious allergy, please read them and ask us first.
Using the site
Please do not attack the site, scrape it, or try to get at anyone's order but your own. The words, photographs, and the Bakervy name belong to us. You are welcome to share a link or a photo of your loaf. Do not lift the content wholesale for another business.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise the food is made with care, to the standard the permit holds us to, and that we describe it honestly. We do not promise the site will never be down or that every page is free of a typo. If we get something wrong, what you can claim back from us is limited to what you paid for the order in question. Nothing here takes away a right you have under Washington consumer law, and no term in these conditions is meant to.
Which law applies
The law of the State of Washington governs these terms, and the courts of Washington are where a dispute gets settled. We would much rather settle it over email, so please write to us first.
Changes to these terms
We update this page as the bakery changes, and the date at the top moves with it. The terms that apply to your order are the ones that were live on the day you ordered.
